Heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post owned this 1880s French hummingbird-in-flight brooch pavé set with rubies and diamonds; with a cabochon emerald used for the eye. After documenting many jewels at her Hillwood Estate, I was thrilled to hold this particular piece.
