"Annaburg Manor" Manassas, Virginia c. 1892 - Giclée Prints of Original Watercolor Painting

"Built by millionaire brewer Robert Portner in the late 19th Century, Annaburg was a central feature and a pride point of Manassas, Virginia. The estate originally featured many unique attractions including a reconstructed castle imported from Europe.  Most of the materials used in its construction came from abroad, including several trees that were shipped in from the Black Forest of Germany... By the time Robert died in 1906, in twenty-three years the estate had grown from 181 to nearly 2,000 acres of land, including 40 acres of orchards, a dairy farm, and three homes.

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay”) prints are unlike other reproduction prints. It is a high resolution image that is reproduced with permanent, fade-resistant inks. It is the most accurate representation of the artist’s original artwork.  After the Artist has approved the final color adjustments, the giclee is ready to print on high quality watercolor paper.

According to tests conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research, the inks have proved stable for at least 70 years without the characteristic fading seen in most other types of reproduction processes. This means that the giclee print will be as beautiful for generations to come as it is today.
